Pearl (Moti) Mala has a very significant role in our day to day lives. It is considered heavily auspicious in our mythology for different mystical reasons. Pearl is considered very close to Lord Krishna. He was considered as cool, clear and white as the characteristics of pearl. It is said that when Lord Krishna was born to Devaki and Vasudev in prison, they had nothing to cover his body with. They wanted the safety of their son and hence Vasudev, the father of Lord Krishna took out his only piece of jewellery he had around his neck and put it on Lord Krishna to save him from anything bad that could occur.
