The term “Sensitive Personal Information” refers to information that is considered particularly sensitive, such as passwords, financial data (excluding the truncated last four digits of credit/debit cards), health data, official identifiers (such as biometric data, Aadhar number, social security number, driver’s license, passport, etc.), information about sexual life, sexual identity, race, ethnicity, political or religious beliefs or affiliations, account details and passwords, or other data/information categorised as “sensitive personal data” or “special categories of data” under the Data Protection Laws, including but not limited to the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and/or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
